What is this programme about?
The Roehampton MSc in Global Marketing provides you with essential expertise in contemporary marketing theory and practice, equipping you with the strategic and operational marketing and business skills which can help you succeed going forward.

The programme has been designed, with input from a panel of business advisors and successful business leaders, to address the 21st century’s demand for market-focused professionals adept in the effective use of digital communications technologies. You will learn more about customer engagement strategies as well as the strategic, financial and operational areas of management. You will also have chance to explore and recommend digital marketing strategies and gain insight into increasingly data-driven context in which today’s business leaders operate. The course assessment is all coursework and currently there are no exams, instead you will be required to do a mixture of reports, presentations, case analysis, critical essays, portfolio, brand audit: inventory and exploratory and business plans. The culmination of the degree is either a Dissertation or a Consultancy Project.

Who should take the programme?
MSc Global Marketing is tailored to students with ambitions to become leaders and practitioners at the interface of marketing and corporate strategy. The course is suitable for those new to Marketing and Business as well as for those who wish to renew and enhance their business and management skills through deeper learning with a Master’s level qualification.

This course is accessible for those with suitable undergraduate qualifications and / or experience. Candidates will be
in a good position to contextualise the theory, the cases and the challenges to their own practice whilst also benefiting from the critical and creative thinking we expect of our Roehampton postgraduates.

We all know that property and real estate is expensive whether in Singapore or London but as Advertising guru John Hegarty has said (2011) “the most valuable piece of real estate in the world,(is) a corner of someone’s mind.” Roehampton’s Global Brand Management module really stretches you to think more broadly about brand as the driver of business growth and in doing so this module builds on strategic marketing concepts and enables you to critically apply your knowledge both academic and practical to make relevant recommendations. You will be able to think about how to expand globally outside your market and since you also study E-Marketing on our MSc Global Marketing programme you will be confident about customer experience, branding and communication both online and off.

How did the postgraduate degree help you in your career?
One of our students has subsequently launched her own business and made direct use of the insights from our Global Brand Management to create and develop her own branding for ‘Beyond’ and this we hope will be a brand of the future. The confidence gained on our MSc Global Marketing has been instrumental in our student’s decision to set up a business and we all wish her well!
