What is one trait you look for in interview candidates?

Besides work competencies, I look for candidates who are enthusiastic and display a “can-do” attitude during interviews.

How can candidates impress you during interviews?

Candidates can impress me by showing me an enthusiastic and a “can-do” attitude. Candidates should provide examples of how these two traits have been translated into action and proven results. However, these results do not have to be limited to a corporate setting. Candidates can talk about how they displayed these traits in their school’s extra-curricular activities or in their social activities.

What do you look for in young leaders?

Budding leaders should be passionate about fulfilling their aspirations as this forms the foundation from which they will draw their energy towards driving the things they set out to accomplish. They must also be willing to listen to constructive feedback, not be afraid to adopt best practices and put their words into action.

What is your one trait which you think has led to your career success?

As the Divisional Director/Human Resource in ITE since April 2005, I have always been very comfortable dealing with staff at all levels. Staff and colleagues find me very open and genuine, which helps inspire trust among my bosses and colleagues. This is in line with our corporate culture, where Integrity is highly valued.

1. What is your one trait which you think has led to your career success?
Having been with FedEx for 16 years and being given the opportunity to hold various positions within FedEx and in Asia Pacific, I feel that regardless of position held, one should never take people and success for granted and strive to do the best in everything we do.
